freshman mentor
This is my third semester/term of COLLEGE LIFE. I know that I don't know everything there is to college, and I probably never will, but I can comfortably say that I am understanding and getting the swing of things. However, the college apparently doesn't get that. So instead the freshman get mentors. This was a really helpful thing for my first term in the summer. They helped me out a lot and got me into the swing of things. Then my second one was repetative. I already knew this campus before coming to school here and I had basically figured things out. But my second mentor didn't realize that so instead emailed me weekly and wanted to meet for interviews constantly. It was a good thing to some degree but they got tiring really fast. So now because another semester has recently started I have a third freshman mentor. For obvious reasons I am a bit bored of the mentoring system. I feel like I have figured out that you go to the advisement center for help, that you look at a map if you don't know where your classes are, that you should study and do homework daily, and all of those other things. So, needless to say, I'm not looking forward to another freshman mentor.
